2013 All Star TeamThe Idaho Junior High Division of Junior Rodeo is cowboys and cowgirls with integrity and grit who love rodeo.  This Division was given seed money and charged with the responsibility of growing it into the most successful junior rodeo association in the world.  Still in our early years, this association includes 37 states in the U.S. and 4 Canadian provinces.  We are supported by outstanding national sponsors who know how important it is to provide our youth with the chance to be competitive student athletes.

The program was designed to reach junior high students during important transitional times in their lives, and to offer them the opportunity to be involved with the positive, family oriented sport of rodeo.  It will be a great stepping stone into High School rodeo, as we have designed our junior events to prepare our athletes for the next level of competition.  Allowing 6th, 7th and 8th graders to rodeo on a national level and have the opportunity to earn thousands in college scholarships is our goal.

Join us and become a part of a great tradition and the newest legacy of the sport of rodeo.

The Junior High Division of Idaho encourages members to participate in, and contribute to, as many different events as possible during the rodeo season.  We believe the result of such participation will be a better-rounded person. We accept the responsibility of encouraging rodeo athletes to reach and try.  We are confident that the young men and women who take advantage of this opportunity will stand a proud trademark of Idaho Junior High Division of Junior Rodeo.

We believe in the term “Student Athlete”.  We accept the duty and responsibility to see that rodeo participants get the job done in the classroom as well as in the arena.   We feel it is important for cowboys and cowgirls to see education as a priority, that they see the value in academics and understand that school comes first.  Excellence in education and excellence in athletics are not separate issues.  While being involved in the Junior High Division of Junior Rodeo the state of Idaho believes the goal, the expectation, is EXCELLENCE!
